Usage Steps
- Select appropriate protective paper tube and thermocouple lance length
- Attach thermocouple to the lance and ensure secondary instrument is zeroed
- Insert into molten steel at 300-400mm depth, avoiding furnace walls and scum
- Remove immediately after reading is obtained
- Replace with a new thermocouple for the next measurement
