SHENYANG AIRCRAFT INDUSTRY GROUP CO., LTD. (SAC) is a backbone enterprise within Aviation Industries of China (AVIC). Since its founding on 29 June 1951, SAC has built a long record in the design, development, and manufacturing of aerospace vehicles and has played an important role in China’s national defense industry.

Over the past decades, SAC has delivered multiple landmark “firsts” in China’s aviation and aerospace development, including early jet fighter and trainer programs as well as high-altitude, high-speed, and all-weather fighter aircraft. Across this long history, SAC has produced more than a dozen aircraft types in volumes totaling several thousand.

Guided by the national policy of economic reform and opening-up, SAC has advanced a strategy of combining military production with civil needs and developing markets both in China and internationally. Leveraging aerospace technologies, the company has expanded into non-aero products and developed more than 100 products across seven ranges, including military aircraft, automobiles, light metal structures, large and medium-sized machinery equipment, electro-mechanical products, and commercial airplane parts and components, supported by international cooperation with more than 20 foreign firms.

SAC continues to modernize its management and corporate structure, operating as a merger comprising a military division, a non-aero division, a commercial airplane R&D center, and a tertiary industry division. The company has received multiple national-level honors recognizing quality management, enterprise management contribution, and employee-related initiatives.
