CHINA NATIONAL ELECTRIC WIRE & CABLE I/E CORP. (also known as China National Electric Wire & Cable Import & Export Corporation, formerly “China National Electric Wire & Cable Import/Export Corporation”) is an export-oriented industry and trading company serving China’s power and communication markets. Established in 1981, the company was among the first to bring China’s high-voltage cable to international markets in the early 1980s.

The company develops and contracts power and telecommunication infrastructure projects, supporting project financing structures such as Buyer’s Credit, Supplier’s Credit, BOO and BOT. Its turnkey capabilities cover high-voltage power cable projects, power stations, substations and transmission lines, submarine cable projects, broadband telecommunication networks, and power OPGW—supporting project execution from design and manufacturing through transportation, civil works, erection, testing and commissioning, and training.

With long-term overseas project experience across South Asia, the Middle East, Southeast Asia, Africa and South America, the company has delivered grid and transmission projects including 29 grid substations and 819 km of existing 132 kV transmission line in Bangladesh, as well as the Muzzaffargarh–Gattti 500 kV transmission line in Pakistan. Its business also includes manufacturing and supply of a broad range of power and telecom cables, fiber optic cable, magnet wire, cable accessories and power transmission and transformation equipment, alongside import of raw materials, parts, and complete production lines.
