Shanghai Automobile I/E CO., LTD. (SACO) is a dedicated import–export company and a wholly owned subsidiary of Shanghai Automotive Industry Corporation (Group) (SAIC). Founded in March 1985, the company built its foundations through early involvement in the Shanghai SANTANA project, supporting technology introduction and commercial negotiations.
SACO’s core role has been to facilitate global trade for the SAIC ecosystem—importing technologies, equipment, and CKD parts to support vehicle and component supply chains, while also exporting products manufactured within and beyond the SAIC Group. The company operates with a streamlined organization and complete functional coverage to respond efficiently to complex international trade environments.
