The fender inspection program includes mechanical and material-property checks such as tensile strength, compressive performance at constant extension, extensibility of vulcanized rubber, density, tearing and impact characteristics, permanent deformation, abrasion resistance, low-temperature resilience, moisture and water content, Mooney viscosity and scorch time, heat resistance, and vulcanization-related testing.
