Tangshan Huizhong Instrumentation manufactures ultrasonic heat meters, water meters, and flow meters, backed by long-term R&D and independent intellectual property in ultrasonic flow measurement.
Tangshan Huizhong Instrumentation Co., Ltd. (THIC) serves as a China-based R&D and production base for ultrasonic heat meters, ultrasonic water meters, ultrasonic flow meters and related systems. Recognized as a Hebei provincial new and hi-tech and software enterprise, the company develops products supported by independent intellectual property rights and a sustained focus on ultrasonic flow measurement technology.
THIC participates in the formulation of multiple industrial and national standards covering ultrasonic flowmeters for water supply and drainage applications (propagation velocity difference principle), heat meters, and calibration regulations for ultrasonic flowmeters. This involvement reflects the company’s commitment to standardized performance and practical deployment in metering and measurement applications.
The company began R&D of a household-use ultrasonic heat meter in 2001 under a technical innovation program for technology-based SMEs, leading to the debut of China’s first household-use heat meter and supporting broader adoption of ultrasonic heat metering for different usage scenarios. As one of the earlier producers of ultrasonic water meters, THIC introduced its first ultrasonic water meter in 2003 and has continued iterative upgrades to support the shift from mechanical metering to digital collection methods in urban environments.
In 2008, THIC participated in an 863 Program project assigned by the Ministry of Science and Technology focused on flow sensors and process control systems, contributing to the independent R&D and industrialization of high-performance sensors in China. The company continues to advance ultrasonic flow measurement technology with the aim of supporting global water and energy conservation.
